Job description

This job will start as 5-10 hours per month and has the opportunity to grow to more in the future.

The job description includes:

1. Recording financial transactions: The bookkeeper will be responsible for entering financial transactions into the Quickbooks Online system, including income, expenses, invoices, and payments. Income and expenses will need to be properly categorized.

2. Maintaining accurate records of all financial transactions related to the rental property. This includes recording the following journal entries: a) to record activity from property manager reports, b) to break out interest from mortgage payments, c) to record credit card activity, d) to record depreciation expense, e) to record prepaid expenses, f) to record settlement statement activity when a property is purchased or sold.

3. Reconciling bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts. The bookkeeper will reconcile the accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of the financial records.

4. Creating and maintaining financial reports: The bookkeeper will create and maintain financial reports such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

Experience:

QuickBooks Online

2+ years experience as a bookkeeper

Real Estate experience - rental properties

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 per hour
