We currently have a Boiler and Refrigeration Mechanic Lead position available in our facility in Pasco, WA.
As a Twin City Foods (Pasco Division) Boiler and Refrigeration Mechanic Lead your main purpose would be to maintain the ammonia-refrigeration systems and boiler equipment at a high level of efficiency to ensure proper temperature levels in freezers and boilers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspect and troubleshoot all equipment and determine proper course of action for preventative and corrective maintenance on the ammonia refrigeration systems and boiler equipment.
- Maintain documentation on all maintenance performed in accordance with plant policy, applicable regulations, codes, and standards.
- Supervise the seasonal IQF (individually quick frozen) operation.
- Aid in development, updating and enforcement of the plant specific PSM Program.
- Stay current with proper continuing education for certification at Journeyman level of industrial ammonia refrigeration.
- Other duties assigned.
Processing season- Approx. May 16th - Oct. 31st.
Off Season work- Approx. Nov. 1st - May 15th.

- Sufficient manual dexterity which permits the employee to perform maintenance tasks.
- Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes which permits the employee to work outside and inside; work around machines and equipment with moving parts; work around moving objects and vehicles; work on ladders and/or scaffolding; slippery or uneven walking surfaces and climbing/crouching in tight spaces.
- Sufficient range of arm movement necessary to operate a personal computer and related equipment.
- Sufficient manual dexterity and strength which permits the employee to lift 60 pounds.
- Sufficient mobility & stamina to spend up to 80% of shift on production floor performing essential job functions.
- Ability to participate in Respiratory Program.
Preferred Education/Training/Certification Qualifications:
Experienced Boiler & Refrigeration Mechanic with 2 plus years of experience. 8 hr. refresher class and 24 hr. Boiler & Refrigeration training for SCBA certification. Possession of a valid Washington State Driver’s License and CPR certified.
