Purpose & Basic Function: Operate and maintain the collator to meet production standards, quality, and delivery requirements as directed by the Binder Operator and General Plant Supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyze and interpret job jackets to thoroughly understand the needs of the customer, communicating those instructions to the bindery trainee
• Set up and operate collator including the fine tuning of pockets to ensure minimal stops during operation for a smooth and trouble free production run
• Give direction to the bindery trainee for the staging process, folding status, F&G approval status, and locating job jackets

Additional Accountabilities:

• Follow all required safety procedures such as: PPE’s, Ergonomics, and etc.
• Perform job in a manner that protects the health and safety of all employees.
• Assist with housekeeping in the bindery area
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills:

• Must be mechanically inclined, flexible, organized, with attention to detail
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong knowledge of computer – controlled machinery in a production environment
• Self – motivated with strong problem solving skills

Education and Work Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED is required
