Behavioral Tech

POSITION SUMMARY:

Behavioral Tech wanted to work with our Afterschool children/adolescents program located in the Pompano Beach area. This position is a Full Time position during the summer and Part Time during the school year.

Rate is $15 an hour.

The Behavioral Tech will provide assistance to the teachers, Enrichment Specialist, or Lead Behavior Specialists, or Cultural Artists in a special needs afterschool program. The incumbent understands and implements the behavior management system; assists with group process, provides social skills instruction during general milieu activities, emphasizing values and respect for cultural diversity and individual differences.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education: High School Diploma.

One year working with youth within a mental health setting or school, with some leadership experience, preferred.

REQUIRED: To complete 40 hours of Child Care & licensing Training; Crisis Prevention and Intervention Training.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs duties and conducts interpersonal relationships in a manner designed to project a positive image of the agency. Works with manager and other members of the agency to promote a harmonious work environment. Ensures that all contacts with patients, the public, physicians and other agency personnel are carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful and considerate manner. Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
