Behavioral Health Counselor (Non-Licensed)
Job description
We are seeking a Non-Licensed Behavioral Health Counselor to join our team of healthcare professionals in Sierra Vista, AZ. As a BH Counselor, you will be responsible for providing individual and group therapy, counseling, crisis intervention, and case management services to patients dealing with mental health and substance abuse issues.
Compensation: Starting at $20.39
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide therapy and counseling services to patients with mental health and/or substance abuse disorders under the supervision of a licensed behavioral health professional
- Provide crisis intervention and case management services as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and case notes
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities to maintain licensure and stay current with best practices in the field
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on mental health and substance abuse issues
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in behavioral health or related program with at least 1 year of experience providing counseling services in a behavioral health setting.
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field
- At least 2 years of experience in providing therapy and counseling services to patients with mental health and/or substance abuse disorders under the supervision of a licensed behavioral health professional
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices and treatment modalities for mental health and substance abuse disorders
