At Star Bar & Bistro, located at Hotel Indigo® Minneapolis Downtown, you'll experience a mix of urban sophistication and neighbor adventure! Two restaurant locations within the hotel, both with an upscale ambiance; combined with authentic local experiences and intimate service, set to open in May 2023! The restaurant will focus on French cuisine with a local twist.

We are looking for team members who are passionate about hospitality, confident in delivering unforgettable experiences through a warm welcome and seamless service from beginning to end.
BARTENDER DEFINITION:
The bartender is the creator of the guest experience. The role of the bartender is to make drinks to spec in a timely fashion and serve the guests in a friendly sincere manner, guaranteeing all guests the best possible experience.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Here is a general list of responsibilities however, as a member of the team responsibilities are not limited to this list.
- Understand and adhere to the Steps of Service
- Greet every guest, read the table and personalize the experience for each guest
- Accurately take, time and deliver guest’s order, pre-bus the bar top, re-set bar top
- Ensure quality food and beverages for your guests
- Mix and pour drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) according to recipes, portion guidelines, and quality standards set forth by Star Bar & Bistro
- In depth knowledge of Simphony (POS system)
- Communicate with and support the entire team to serve the guests
- Guide and monitor each guest’s dining experience
- If anything goes wrong (big or small), keep manager on duty informed
- Work as a team and use positive communication skills at every opportunity
- Present accurate guest checks and collect payments
- Keep the bar & liquor room clean and organized, make sure the bar is stocked to pars
- Display of Hospitality and Professionalism
- Always find a way to get to YES!
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Here is a general list of things that may be required during a serving shift.
- Must be able to work and exert fast-paced mobility in a high energy and physically demanding environment for periods of up to 8 hours in length
- Must have a good sense of balance, be able to bend and kneel and have the ability to lift bus tubs and trays frequently weighing up to 40 pounds 60% of the shift
- Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and other employees
- Must be able to speak and understand English
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $13.50 - $14.50 per hour
