About Lucile's Steaks and Spirits

Lucile's Steaks and Spirits is an American restaurant in The Continental Hotel, a historic boutique hotel. Named one of Iowa's Top 10 Burgers in 2020 and recognized by Travel Iowa as the restaurant to visit in Appanoose County in 2019, Lucile's Steaks and Spirits is hiring a Server/Bartender to join our team. Our kitchen was completely renovated in 2018 and includes top-of-the-line equipment. It is a great place to work if you're passionate about serving food and drink to travelers staying at The Continental Hotel as well as locals who have enjoyed our restaurant for 20 years.

Bartenders

We are looking for an enthusiastic bartender to provide an excellent guest experience. Compensation includes salary and tips.

Responsibilities

• Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
• Interact with customers, take orders and serve food and drinks
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Prep food and drink stations and supplies
• Follow all food handling and beverage service laws and policies.
• Restock and replenish inventory and supplies
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations

Skills

• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Ability to stand, lift, move quickly, learn by doing and use an iPad
• Experience preferred but not required.

Pay

Base pay for bartenders is $11.25. After tips, bartenders can expect to see average take-home pay of $12-$22/hour.
