El Barrista Cafe is looking for a barista who is well spoken, energetic, enthusiastic, & a fast learner to join our growing team. We need individuals who are motivated to excel and educate customers about our products.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Preparing and serving hot and cold drinks such as coffee, tea, artisan and specialty beverages.
• Cleaning and sanitizing work areas, utensils and equipment
• Cleaning service and seating areas
• Describing menu items and suggesting products to customers
• Servicing customers and taking orders in a timely manner
• Ordering, receiving and distributing stock supplies
• Receiving and processing customer payments

The ideal candidate will be a team player and flexible enough to pitch in where needed to get the job done.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred
• Prior café or coffee shop experience a plus
• NYC Food Handler's Certification is a plus'
