Responsibilities of a Barista (Restaurant Experience Preferred):

· Anticipate customer and store needs with a calm demeanorduring periods of high volume.

Qualifications:

· 2 Years Restaurant/Hospitality Experience

Job Summary and Mission

This job contributes to Starbucks success by supervising daily environmental, health and safety activities in accordance with

standardized corporate safety management systems. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following;

· Creates and sustains a cohesive and positive work environment while ensuring compliance with established safety programs.

· Ensures effective and timely communication of company, plan and department information to managers, peers, and own work team, including supervisors, leads and partners.

· Ensures partner development and satisfaction. Provides partners with timely performance feedback. Serves as a technical expert and coach for team members. Supports partners in presenting ideas for improving sites safety culture.

· Coordinates the delivery and execution of all site required regulatory training. Participates in scheduling and completing regulatory audits and safety risk assessments.

· Use lean tools to facilitate safety incident investigations identifying root cause and corrective actions to prevent further reoccurrence.

· Serves as a point person for departmental inquiries and responds or escalates appropriately

· Supports tracking and preparation of environmental reporting requirements for local, state, and federal agencies

· Operates within established budget and supports implementation of safety improvement initiatives.

· Supports all established plant goals and objectives. Apprises mange of team progress and any obstacles.

· Demonstrates and understands safety as our core value and follows the key essentials to safety as set forth by our safety resolution; reinforces and coaches others to do the same coaches others to do the same.

· Understands and follows established safety guidelines, consistently complies with all safety procedures (e.g. PPE, LockOut Tag Out).

· Acts as a safety change agent (e.g. CPR/First Aid certification ;active engagement in safety committee, drives safety initiatives for department).

· Supports food safety, legality and quality programs.

· Maintains product quality through adherence to good manufacturing practices, Food Safety Preventative Controls, product specifications and quality procedures. Monitors and documents quality measures using analytical tools.

· Performs other duties as needed in support of business objectives and Starbucks Mission & Values.

Basic Qualifications

· Education (minimum education level, degree, or certification necessary):

o High school diploma/GED, US military service or equivalent

o Safety professional qualification

· Skills (minimum skills required):

o Ability to work with a diverse team environment

o Ability to work in accordance with safety, quality and sanitation standards, policies, and procedures including environmental, health, and safety

o Ability to work variable shifts to support business needs

o Team building skills

o Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing

o Ability to provide technical and regulatory leadership

o Problem solving skills

o Strong leadership skills with ability to coach and mentor

o Ability to influence peer group

o Working knowledge and ability to interpret regulatory standards such as OSHA, DEP, DOT,NFPA etc.)

· Years of experience in specific field or utilizing designated skills(minimum needed to be qualified):

o Environmental, health, and safety in an industrial setting (1yr)

o Training development (1yr)

o Supervisor experience (1yr)

o Hospitality/Restaurant experience (1yr)

Preferred Qualifications

· ServSafe (or any related food service safety certification)
