Merengue Bakery And Cafe in Monrovia, CA is looking for four baristas to join our team. We are located on 417 S. Myrtle Ave.. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and engaged.
Position Overview.
As the barista, you will skillfully craft the perfect beverage with consistency following the LEAD BARISTA training/recipes and company standards. With a wide range of beverage offerings, attention to detail and working quickly & accurately will help ensure your success. You'll also be responsible for keeping your station and the Bakery and Cafe area clean and stocked. Being a barista offers you a community of passionate coffee lovers and frequent opportunities for continued learning.
Qualifications:
- Must complete 45 - 90 days as a TEAM MEMBER.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Outstanding customer service.
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively.
- Can be independent as well as a team player in the work environment.
- Flexible schedule and must be able to work nights and weekends
Primary responsibilities:
*Welcome customers and make quality hot and cold drinks consistently by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. *Takes lead organizing and restocking inventory supplies on a daily basis. *Outstanding communication with management to ensure a quality work environment. *Maintain a clean and tidy work area. *Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products. *Greet and interact with all customers providing everyone with an excellent experience in our stores. *Maintain a positive demeanor in a busy environment where multi-tasking, cleaning, and effective communication are requirements. *Prepares and brew hot/cold coffee according to our standards of quality. *Taste coffee each shift worked to improve product quality and knowledge. *Properly handle and maintain all coffee brewing equipment. *Communicate with team members and management to solve problems and improve service.
Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $14.50 - $18.00/hour.
