Experienced Baristas

Wilmette IL 60091

Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $14.00 to $17.00 /hour

Responsibilities

· Serve all guests in a timely & courteous manner

· Prepare beverages following recipes

· Maintain high-level quality standards including consistency and presentation

· Clean, stock, and maintain food & beverages throughout shift

· Follow & maintain all sanitation standards for food, cleanliness, and safety

· Additional responsibilities as assigned by management

Qualifications

· Excellent communication, listening, and time management skills

· Basic knowledge of food & coffee plus an interest to learn more (training

· Ability to stay calm under pressure and provide a consistent, high quality experience for all guests

· Basic latte art skills preferred but not required.

· Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per day

· Capability to withstand warm temperatures and noisy environments

· Ability to occasionally lift & carry up to 25lbs

· Endure in various physical activities like reaching, bending, kneeling, climbing and moving about facility

· Flexibility to work a variety of shifts

Cafe Supervisor

Description

Cafe supervisors are responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the coffeehouse and the supervision of all staff.

Responsibilities

· Perform all opening & closing duties as assigned by management. Oversee completion of all staff duties and assist as needed.

· Maintain high-level quality & consistency standards

· Oversee and assign duties in accordance with shift requirements

· Clearly communicate service needs to management and all FOH & BOH staff.

· Capable of performing all FOH tasks and positions including barista, cashier, & runner. Assist with all tasks and in all positions as needed throughout shift.

· Addressing inquiries & feedback from customers and employees. Providing answers & resolutions in a timely manner.

· Follow & maintain all sanitation & quality standards for food, cleanliness, and safety

· Follow all cash handling policies & procedures to ensure safety of all employees, guests, and vendors

· Perform weekly inventory and order all FOH food, beverages & supplies as needed

· Assist with training of new FOH employees as well as ongoing training of existing employees.

· Additional responsibilities as assigned by management

Qualifications

· Minimum 1 year of experience in a supervisor or manager role within the restaurant industry required (cafe experience preferred).
