Wilderton Non-Alcoholic Botanical Spirits

Love hospitality? Maybe you have worked at a wine, spirits or beer tasting room and love the customer experience but not so much the alcohol? Come join Wilderton's awesome team opening the nation's first non-alcoholic distillery & tasting room on the vibrant Hood River Waterfront!

We are seeking incredible team members for part-time Summer seasonal work spreading education and love for our craft spirts made on site!

Primary schedule is 11AM - 7PM Sat & Sun with possible additional weekday hours. $20/hour plus tips and commission on bottle sales.

Wilderton was founded in Oregon in 2019 to bring a craft spirits sensibility to the non-alc market, with liquids worthy of playing a part in the growing mindful mixology culture. Unlike other non-alc spirits brands, we were founded by distillers, who make our own liquids from scratch, through a unique production process blending tradition with technology. Drawing on techniques from craft distilling, perfume making and tea production, we create complex, bold liquids that won’t be mistaken for anything currently behind the bar.

Position Summary

As a Tasting Room Associate you are responsible for providing the best possible front line experience to all of our Tasting Room guests by developing relationships that promote sales and brand loyalty. This position is the champion of customer service in creating the perfect balance of education and good times. You will be entrusted with opening and closing duties and serving as the single employee in the Tasting Room on most weekends

Hospitality Manager

Major Responsibilities

• Educating guests about non-alcoholic spirits and Wilderton’s history, process, ingredieints and values
• Guiding customers through non-alcoholic spirits tastings
• Preparing and serving non-alcoholic cocktails
• Encouraging customers to buy Wilderton products and join our loyalty club
• Maintain Wilderton image to reinforce standards of the brand
• Accurate use of the POS system and daily sales reconciliation
• Opening and closing of the Tasting Room
• Restocking of spirits and merchandise from the stock room into the Tasting Room
• Cleaning glassware and prepping cocktail garnishes
• Maintaining the aesthetics of the Tasting Room
• Occasional VIP off-site private tastings and events
• Ability to follow policies and procedures

Candidate Specifications

EDUCATION

• G.E.D.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

• Interest in the non-alcoholic beverage category and desire to learn more!
• Passion for drinks and hospitality in your day-to-day life
• Alcoholic beverage tasting room experience preferred
• Retail sales experience: ability to present product, up sell & cross sell
• Computer/POS knowledge, skills & abilities
• Available to work weekends and holidays on occasion
• Professional appearance
• Demonstrate initiative and willingness to work events and special projects
• Must be a team player and maintain a positive disposition

OTHER

• Must be able and available to work evenings, weekends and some holidays
• Must be able to frequently lift and/or repetitively carry and move, push and/or pull up to 50 pounds to stack cases and regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION & COMPENSATION

· Seasonal Part Time: 16+ hours per week June-Aug

· Compensation: $20/hour + commission and tips
