Are you a Unicorn A-Tech? Congratulations! I am sure every shop owner in town wants to hire you. My name is Bil Taylor and my wife and I own/operate Framerite Auto Repair in Baltimore. Let me define MY defintion of a Unicorn A-Tech for you. You have experience working on a large variety of cars and do not have any problems tackling anything that comes through the door. You can document producing 50 flat rate hours a week over time. Our shop uses a 25% labor bump on book times on all but a very few repairs, so the question becomes "Can you produce 40 hours a week at a regular shop?". That's easy enough for a Unicorn, eh? You have a strong attendance record, work ethic, and you aren't an incredible pain in the ass for co-workers and management to deal with. You help build shop culture. You make the organization stronger with your presence. Those are my Unicorn basics. Now it's time for me to show you that Framerite Auto repair knows how to properly care for you a Unicorn! 45 hour work week Monday to Friday! Weekends are for you and your family! Company paid health insurance. Two weeks paid vacation after 1 year, 5 sick days per year. Family atmosphere where you take care of the customers vehicle, the customer takes care of the business and the business takes care of you! If you are not sucessful, we are not successful!
