• Identify and troubleshoot problems in automated cells. Recover and start up the system and make sure the cell is back up and running properly.
• Perform control wiring, pneumatic piping, and mechanical assembly safely when needed.
• Assist Maintenance with the repair of problematic equipment failures in automated cells.
• Perform essential preventive maintenance on robots and equipment in automated cells.
• Updates manuals and parameters for automated equipment.
• Assist with assembly and integration of automated/robotic manufacturing cells for US plants.
• Installation and maintenance of error-proofing systems with sensors, cameras, and vision systems
• Assist with the evaluation and improvement of existing or future automated equipment to improve overall efficiency and cost reduction.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards.
• Provide training in regard to Automation to other Automation Technicians.
• Manage 3D printers and 3D printed parts inventory.

• Experience working with mechanical, pneumatic, and electric systems.
• Experience working with 3D CAD design software.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical component selection for automation is required.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical tools (wrenches, wire stripper, multimeter, etc.) is required.
• Must be able to read and understand both electrical and mechanical technical drawings.
• Experience in PLC logic is a plus.
• Experience in robot programming.
• Must have good written and oral communication skills and have the ability to accept and cope with restrictive time frames and unpredictable situations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and leadership qualities.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, effectively present information, and respond to questions from employees, management, customers, and the general public.
• Experience with 3D printing.
• Ability to apply basic mathematical operations.
