Auto Parts Delivery Driver

Looking for a parts delivery driver who has excellent customer service skills and a history of safe driving. Must have a current valid drivers license and outstanding communication skills.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive truck to various locations to deliver materials. Obtain authorized signature for supplies requested.

  • Assist in the receiving of shipments by counting, weighing or measuring items and comparing size, weight, description and code numbers with information on invoice or packing slip and purchase orders; record any discrepancies or damage.

  • Open crates and other containers using hand tools to unpack items received. Inspect shipments for damage and defects.

  • Move inventory to various locations manually and operating mechanical equipment, including fork lift, pallet jack and handcart.

  • Sort and store items according to established procedures.

  • Load and unload delivery truck by hand or by use of hand truck.

  • Operate tools, equipment and vehicles according to prescribed safety procedures.

  • Clean and maintain customer beverage service area, making sure the area is stocked and ready for use at all times.

  • Perform janitorial duties in the parts department including but not limited to sweeping and emptying trash.

  • Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting, carrying, etc.

  • Correct unsafe conditions in work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to supervisor immediately.


Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Other duties could include working in other areas of the parts department to provide support during absences or shortage of staff.

  • Requires flexibility and understanding that all parts staff may be required to perform duties outside their normal area of expertise to meet the mission and goal of the Parts Department.


Education/ certification requirements

Education, training and/or state/national certifications should clearly demonstrate the possession of the knowledge and skills stated above.

  • High School degree or equivalent preferred

  • Valid Oregon Driver’s License


Experience

  • One year experience in automotive environment preferred

Compensation

Pay range for this position starts at $16.00 per hour. Pay rate is determined based on experience.


Schedule

Monday- Friday 8am-5pm
