Assist in the production of the mono layer and multi-layer film formulations and achieving the Films Extrusion Department’s production goals’ and objectives.
Job Description
Responsibilities Include:
- Qualify for ECLU name plate and operator unit as needed. Assist in changeovers, start-ups and shutdowns in support of WCM goals and objectives. Assist the operator in completing overhaul check lists (start up and shut down) and Visual Factory updates (hour by hour board, 5S check lists, TPM chart, Quality charts).
- Assist in changeovers, startups and shutdowns in support of WCM goals and objectives. Inspects each roll for visual defects and completes requires quality checks. Follows procedures for visual inspection, required quality checks, and impound process. Assist operator whenever requested or needed and other lines as needed.
- PSA (Product Staging Area) management, order packaging supplies. (cores, cartons, tape, other items as needed), check and change resin boxes as needed and accounts for scrap per SOP.
- Assist in changing palletizer blades as needed and in setup of the films extrusion lines and other related machinery. Check schedule to insure correct order is running and quantity has not been exceeded.
- Check for SPI for each order, each roll ticket and pallet summary for correct information and assist in completing daily production report. Enters production data into computer and completes roll labels and prints pallet summaries.
- Actively participates in the High Performance Work Teams while taking on a resource roles for one of the responsible areas: Quality, Customer Service, Human Resources, EHS/PFS, Lean/20 Keys, Process Improvement, TPM and Training. As a team member meeting continuous improvement objectives and ensuring the successful communication and performance of the teams are required and perform all duties as directed by management.
