Job description

The Division of General Medicine (DGM) at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center is leading the Collaborative Cohort of Cohorts for COVID-19 Research (C4R), a high-profile study which is studying COVID-19 across 14 existing cohort studies, 40 clinical/field centers, and approximately 50,000 multi-ethnic participants from across the United States. The DGM seeking a full-time Associate Research Scientist to assist with statistical analysis of the C4R study and other important activities related to DGM research programs under the direction of Dr. Elizabeth Oelsner.

Responsibilities include:

• Harmonizing, managing, and analyzing the data from C4R and other studies
• Writing proposals and manuscripts
• Developing new research ideas

Qualifications

Minimum Degree Required: MD and/or PhD required

Minimum Qualifications: Four or more years of research experience; familiarity with epidemiologic research methods; detail oriented; ability to work independently as well as work collaboratively with the PIs, support staff and personnel from other cohorts.

Preferred Qualifications: Relevant experience in epidemiology and/or biostatistics

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
