Located in East Hartford, Connecticut, the ICS 6th Generation Propulsion Systems Associate Director will work with the applicable Program, ICS and Military Engines (ME) leadership teams to develop, shape and implement winning strategies and campaigns to ensure P&W remains the military engine provider of choice for the 6th Generation propulsion space.
An active secret security clearance is required for this position.
The duties and responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
- Drive the development, implementation and execution of winning capture campaigns for associated with 6th Generation propulsion.
- Provide overall accountability for strategic business acquisition pursuits, in accordance with the P&W ME Business Acquisition Process.
- Lead stakeholder management and ensure the PW leadership team is informed and engaged, including timely escalation of issues needing resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to execute gated business reviews, secure leadership commitments and approvals, and communicate status to senior and executive leadership.
- Successfully assess customer requirements and engage strategic partners to develop compliant, on-time, superior proposals.
- Lead competitive assessments and the identification and/or refinement of customer selection criteria, understanding of competition position, and actions to improve Probability of Win (Pwin) using RTX tools and processes (e.g., Color Team reviews, RTX Capture Management Excellence toolkit).
- Develop the business case for continuing to pursue and bidding the opportunity including capture budget.
- Coordinate activities across a diverse group of internal stakeholders (e.g., Finance, Communications, 3rd Party Consultants) to drive alignment and awareness of activities with an overlapping customer base.
- Provide data/analysis for Monthly Program Business Reviews to internal and/or external customers and stakeholders.
- Translate technical understanding of P&W offerings and technology for purposes of customer communication and engagement.
- Lead after-action reviews and champion process improvements across the organization.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 12+ years’ experience in engineering and/or program management; or advanced degree and 10 years’ experience.
- 5+ years of demonstrated capture management experience for opportunities greater than $50M.
- Proven ability to assess business needs, translate customer requirements, and work with key stakeholders to develop compliant business acquisition proposals.
- Demonstrated knowledge of US DOD federal acquisition regulations and experience working with major airframers.
- Strong technical background and track record of successful execution of new business capture for development and/or production programs.
- Demonstrated knowledge of associated contractors and the competitive landscape.
- Executive level communications and technical writing skills are a must.
- Ability to analyze/solve complex problems.
- Ability to work multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to anticipate internal and external customer needs.
- Self-motivated; be proactive and take initiative to complete projects.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity while remaining customer focused.
- Effective team-building, and collaboration skills.
- Proficient in MS Office 365, Teams, Zoom, virtual collaboration and Agile execution tools.
- US Citizenship required due to government contracts.
