Assisted Living Aide

Full Time and Part Time available!

Johnstown, PA

Amber Springs is a 100-suite Assisted Living Facility offering well-appointed private and semi-private rooms or suites. It is beautifully furnished and decorated, offering free cable television and individually controlled heat and air conditioning. Residents also have access to our Senior Wellness Program and 24-hour staffing. To support this growing community, our center seeks a Assisted Living Aide to assist with all daily activities on a resident-by-resident basis.

Assisted Living Aide Responsibilities include:

• Providing/Assisting with all daily living activities, as needed by residents
• Promoting independence and self-sufficiency through hands-on assistance to residents with ADLs
• Administering medications and basic treatments, as appropriate
• Obtaining accurate temperature, pulse, respirations and records surrounding intake and output, and delivering prompt, proper incontinence care
• Registering accurate heights and weights on admission charts as well as during monthly/as instructed weight checks
• Answering call lights and responding to resident requests promptly
• Assisting in new nurses/personnel orientation
• Assisting with admission including orienting new residents and bringing personal items, as requested
• Making residents’ beds, as needed

Qualifications

All candidates must have a proven track record of success in a similar role. A high school diploma or GED equivalent is also required. Vaccination from covid-19 is a condition for hiring.
