SFCC provides a high-quality, geographically, financially and emotionally accessible education to more than 5,000 students who range from traditional college-age students to adult learners.
The college offers associate of arts, associate of fine arts, associate of science and associate of applied science degrees, professional and skills certificates, and noncredit courses and programs, and workforce development training in a 14-county area in central Missouri with locations in Sedalia, Boonville, Clinton, Eldon, Lake of the Ozarks, Warsaw, at Whiteman Air Force Base, and online.
Position Purpose: The Assistant Soccer Coach will help assist the Head Soccer Coach with practices, games, and any other duties assigned by head coach and athletic director. Individual will advise student-athletes and help benefit SFCC Soccer Program.
Examples of Duties / Knowledge & Skills
- Schedule, post and keep office hours as required by College policy.
- Assist with advising of student-athletes.
- Attend required meetings.
- Must be capable of effectively motivation and supervising students.
- Must maintain a professional relationship with students and peers.
- Coaching duties assigned by the head soccer coach.
- A willingness to take on additional responsibility and work collaboratively, both within the unit and campus wide
- Other duties as deemed necessary for the function of the college.

Minimum qualifications & Requirements
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred and Collegiate Playing Experience and two years of high school or college coaching experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet college’s insurance requirements for driving college vehicles required.
Skills:
- Ability to inspire and motivate others to perform at high levels.
- Ability to teach and advise student-athletes throughout season.
- A willingness to take on additional responsibility and work collaboratively
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to interact verbally in person, over the telephone, and via written and electronic media.
- Ability to travel for games and other events.
- Ability to move about campus and other locations.
- Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
