The Paddle Pub is looking for Restaurant/Bar full time Floor Manager 32-45 hrs per week
We are a family friendly restaurant first and then a local bar second. Restaurant Manager responsibilities include:
- Over seeing all operations of the restaurant
- closing restaurant multiple nights a week
- taking on some server or bartender shifts
- incentives and games for staff
- training new staff on details of job
- Overseeing restaurant staff performance, ensuring quality dining
- Being on the floor managing and controlling services during MGR shifts and working some shifts on floor as server or bar
Job brief
We are looking for a Restaurant Manager to ensure all daily activities run smoothly and efficiently.
Restaurant Manager responsibilities include: running the floor and all staff during there shift, managing payroll and supervising restaurant staff performance. To be successful in this role, you should be familiar with restaurant operations and have a good understanding of what makes a great customer service. You should also be available to work within operating hours, including weekends and holidays.
Ultimately, you will help minimize operating costs, boost our employee retention and deliver a positive dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- this is a working position. MGR floor shifts Thurs-Sunday availabilty
- Coordinate communication between front of the house and back of the house staff
- Prepare shift schedules
- Being on the Floor Managing
- Supervise kitchen and wait staff and provide assistance
- Keep detailed records of daily, weekly and monthly costs and revenues
- Arrange for new employees’ proper onboarding (scheduling trainings and ordering uniforms)
- Monitor compliance with safety and hygiene regulations
- Gather guests’ feedback and recommend improvements to our menus
Requirements
- Work experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry
- waitress and bartender experience REQUIRED
- Familiarity with restaurant management software, like Aloha
- Good math and reporting skills
- Customer service attitude
- Communication and team management abilities
- Availability to work within opening hours (e.g. evenings, holidays, weekends)
- High school diploma; additional certification in hospitality is a plus
