Farmer’s Table in North Palm Beach is seeking dynamic and engaging Restaurant Managers to join our team. Our ideal candidate must have outstanding leadership and financial skills; guest focused; proficient in culinary operations; ability to maintain the highest quality of service standards; and understand that speed and quality must go hand in hand in order to keep our guests coming back.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

General Operations:

  • Oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant and make final decisions on guest service issues
  • Investigate and resolve food quality and service complaints
  • Communicates with guests and employees to solve problems and ensure complete satisfaction
  • Inspect dining room, food receiving, preparation, production, and storage areas to ensure health and safety regulations are being adhered to at all times
  • Supervise cleaning and maintenance of equipment and arranges for repairs, contracts, and other services
  • Maintain appropriate restaurant image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards
  • Ensure good safety practices of employees and guests throughout the restaurant
  • Assist in the maintenance of proper emergency and security procedures
  • Coordinate the scheduling of departments
  • Follow all federal, state and local laws, codes and regulations
  • Maintain Food Safety and Alcohol Awareness Compliance

Financial:

  • Ensure the receipt of all orders to verify correct quantities and pricing
  • Review financial information such as sales and costs and monitor budgets to ensure efficient operation and that expenditures stay within budget limitations
  • Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility and labor costs
  • Responsible for ensuring that all financial (invoices, reporting) and employee and payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately, on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures

Employee Relations:

  • Provide direction to employees regarding operational and procedural issues
  • Interview, select and hire hourly employees
  • Develop employees by providing ongoing feedback, establishing performance expectations and by conducting performance reviews
  • Prepares schedules and ensure that the restaurant is staffed for all shifts

Requirements:

  • Stable employment history (no more than 3 jobs in the past 5 years)
  • Strong work ethic; the restaurant business requires a 50-hour work week.
  • We are a Drug-Free Work Environment (must be able to pass drug screening)
  • Shift Flexibility: Must be able to work different shifts, include holidays, nights and weekends

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two to five (2-5) years of restaurant management experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to lead and direct the work of others
  • Familiar with restaurant industry standard concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Ability to effectively interact with a diverse population of employees, management, and Guests
  • Work under pressure within a well-integrated team environment
  • Able to consistently maintain a professional and respectful demeanor

Physical Demands:

Must be able to perform a variety of physical activities including, but not limited to, standing for long periods of time, climbing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Repetitive hand and wrist motion may be required. Working with hot, cold and hazardous equipment as well as operate phones, computers and other office equipment.
