Seeking for a Sign Fabricator who will learn to fabricate and assemble customs signs and structures under the direction of direct supervisor.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist with fabricating illuminated and non-illuminated signage using aluminum, steel angle, flat bar, square tube, and sheet substrates
  • Layout and mark reference points using template, rule, square, tape measure, and scale
  • Operate machines such as shears, chop saw, table saw, brake, punch press, form roll, drill press, hand tools, and power tools to cut and shape components to specified dimensions
  • Assist fabricators in welding components together using wire fed aluminum welder or wire fed steel welder
  • Assist in wiring primary power ballasts, LED power supplies, and transformers
  • Cut materials to be used for skinning/covering sign structure using panel saw
  • Bends and shapes sign parts by hand or by using manual brakes according to job specifications
  • Sands, grinds, polishes, and cleans materials
  • Drills, rivets, screws, or adheres sign parts together
  • Performs pre-painting and wiring preparation by cleaning and labeling of parts
  • Maintains quality control and safety during material handling and cutting
  • Continuously focuses on producing a high-quality product that meets industry standards
  • Communicate with supervisor on project progress and department needs
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Performs other functions as necessary or as assigned
  • Assist in positioning and welding parts to form complete units or sub-units, following drawings / layout specifications

Position Requirements:

  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, grinders, and saws…safely
  • Ability to read a tape measure, proficiently
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division of fractions
  • Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions
  • Requires good judgment and ability to work with others
  • Strong attention to detail in measurements and design specifics
  • High School diploma or GED certificate
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, a satisfactory driving record for the past 3 years, with no DWI convictions within the past 5 years, and no current DWI charges.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Some welding experience recommended, not required
  • Must be able to accurately use all types of measuring tools
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to report to facility on time, daily

$13-$14/hr.
