Apprentice Technician

VVG is looking for an Entry-Level Technician for following hours: Monday - Friday between 8:30am-5:00pm with one Saturday per month!

What You’ll Do:
Apprentice Technicians are responsible for performing the truck repairs listed below. Technicians create repair plans and fill out parts requisitions for needed parts. They are also responsible for tagging all warranty parts that are replaced and for turning in parts with core value. Technicians must also communicate updates to their Foreman daily and must maintain toolboxes organized and workstations clean and safe. Apprentice Technician is an entry-level technician who is eager and motivated to learn service department operations and technician’s duties. Lots of training will be provided which includes shadowing one of the master techs.

Job Duties and Skills Required:

• Performs oil change
• Performs diesel particulate filter cleaning
• Performs brake inspections and works on brakes
• Performs general maintenance of the service department including sweeping, cleaning and other maintenance tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• Completion of a technician training course or equivalent work knowledge required
• High school diploma or the equivalent
• Mechanical aptitude
• Positive attitude
• Motivated

Compensation:

• Hourly $20-$25 based on experience and qualifications.
• Full Time position
