HOW YOU WILL IMPACT OUR MISSION
The Galaxy Lead is responsible for working with business partners to review/develop/implement efficient reporting/insight tools within the 3rd party software under license (including freeware) by SDZWA. The Galaxy Lead must have strong Galaxy skills and ability to work effectively/efficiently across other applications. This position has at least one position reporting to them, which they have the responsibility of management and performance management and reports to the Galaxy Manager.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Responsible for oversight of assigned IT staff, including but not limited to, interviewing, hiring, training and performance management. Work with employees to correct deficiencies and implement discipline procedures, write performance evaluations, and establish staff development plans.
  • Work with business partners to review/develop/implement efficient reporting/insight tools within 3rd party software under license by SDZWA.
  • Support mission critical applications by proactively monitoring database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime. Provide technical and software support by assisting in troubleshooting, analyzing and resolving software issues.
  • Manage the Galaxy ticketing environment while continuously striving for optimal efficiency and zero downtime.
  • Create and maintain documentation which, includes current/future system data flow diagrams.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate will be an accomplished IT professional with experience administering Point of Sale systems in the attractions industry. This is a hands-on technical and leadership role with an emphasis on production support and application maintenance. Demonstrated experience doing administration and advanced configuration on the Gateway Ticketing platform highly desirable; Galaxy Systems Administrator Certification a plus. Extensive application troubleshooting experience in a client/server environment is a must as well as demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of MS SQL Server – scripting, data migrations, database administration and security.

  • JOB EXPERIENCE
  • Three years’ experience in supporting all aspects of large-scale enterprise systems required. (Hardware, software, security, access management, etc.) And
  • Three years’ experience with integration methodologies related to On-premises and SaaS applications required.
  • EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent specialized training and/or 3+ years of experience required.
  • SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
  • Strong working knowledge of current and emerging IT products, services, processes, and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of computer systems design.
  • Programming and implementation of third-party application software knowledge and best practices.
  • Effective customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in a diverse environment.
  • Able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines using effective time management skills.
