Aviation Overview
As one of the world’s largest independent exploration and production companies, ConocoPhillips transports over 150,000 passengers annually in support of its business operations. Our Global Aviation Services group operates in the contiguous United States as well as the state of Alaska, and has an expansive fleet consisting of Q400, Gulfstream G550, Cessna Citation, Twin Otter, and a Casa 212 aircraft.
Description
ConocoPhillips Alaska Aviation is currently recruiting for an Aviation Support Specialist to support our flight and passenger operations. Aviation Support is operational seven days per week.
WORK SCHEDULE: The work schedule can be varying. There are multiple shifts and you may be asked to be available for any of those shifts. The earliest shift begins at 4:30am and the latest time is typically around 8:00pm (or when the last flight arrives). Some overtime will be required and this role will work during holidays.
Typical Shifts could be:
- 4:30 AM - 2:00 PM
- 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Your responsibilities may include:
- Coordinate with travel planners to meet the travel needs of workers supporting North Slope oil and gas operations. Utilize iLogistics passenger reservation system to support passenger travel needs.
- Manage phone activity and provide exceptional customer service
- Coordinate and disseminate flight information to flight crews, ticket counter, ground support crews, aircraft maintenance coordinators and North Slope personnel
- Conduct flight following of company aircraft, provide weather and runway condition reports to pilots
- Coordinate and disseminate operations information to flight crews, ticket counter, ground support crews, aircraft maintenance coordinators and North Slope personnel
- Adapt to dynamic operating situations due to weather or mechanical issues
- Advise the operations and maintenance departments for off-schedule or irregular operations such as aircraft diverts or aircraft maintenance delays
- Prepare for, and play key role, in emergency response operations
- Prepare operations reports
- Other duties as requested or necessary
Basic/Required:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or national, or an alien admitted as a permanent resident, refugee or asylee
- 3+ years of experience in an administrative or clerical role
- 3+ years of customer service experience
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to work weekends, overtime and holidays
Preferred:
- 1+ years of experience with iLogistics reservations system
- Intermediate or advanced skills with data analytics tools such as Excel, PowerBI, or Spotfire
- Intermediate level of experience with aircraft flight following or possession of an FAA Dispatch license
- Previous experience working/living on the North Slope and knowledge of North Slope terminology
- Ability to work within a diverse cultural environment
- Ability to manage time and prioritize duties working effectively in a team environment
- Ability to read and understand standard operating procedures and apply them to an operational environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced high visibility, constantly changing environment with minimum supervision
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High level of integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality
