Airport Director (KGOK- Guthrie-Edmond Regional Airport)

Responsible for managing and overseeing airport operations; financial administration; facilities maintenance; airport security; fire protection; airport facility development/enhancement planning and public relations.

Education, Certification and Experience Requirements: Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in professional aviation, business administration, public administration, or a related field.

Six years of increasingly responsible experience in aviation/airport operations and administration or a related field, including four years of administrative or management responsibility.

Accredited Airport Executive (AAE), Certified Member (CM), Airport Certified Employee (ACE), or similar certifications are strongly preferred.

Valid driver’s license. Must obtain Oklahoma driver’s license within thirty days of hire.

Possession of Certified Member (CM) accreditation from the American Association of Airport Executives. Must obtain within three years of hire.

NIMS ICS 700, 100 (in this order). Must obtain within 1 year of hire.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Employer will contribute to employee’s deferred compensation through the ICMA 457 program. Medical, Dental & Vision Health Insurance –100% employer-paid coverage for employee. $50,000 Life and $50,000 AD&D Insurance- 100% employer-paid coverage for employee. Employee may set aside up to $2,850 of salary annually, on a pre-tax basis for medical and dependent care expenses. Employee may at their expense purchase supplemental insurance through Aflac.
