Adolescent Health Clinician E.O.E.

District Health Department #10 seeks a Full OR Part-time Adolescent Health Clinician. This position will be based in Crawford County at Grayling Adolescent Health Center.

Duties:

· Works autonomously within scope of practice and credentials providing and managing primary care services for adolescents in a school-based health center, as well as some time at the health department in providing and managing reproductive health care, family planning, and cancer screening services.

· Responsible for initiation and maintenance of client services in the clinical setting.

· Performs comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and treatment of clients including ordering and dispensing medications.

· Counsels youth and families on health-promoting lifestyle choices and disease prevention.

· Evaluates immunization status and administers vaccines.

· Collaborates with multi-disciplinary team members and outside providers, making appropriate referrals.

Requirements:

· Master’s level, licensed to practice in Michigan as Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA).

· Knowledge of the standards of care concerning the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions, appropriate preventative care and education, and coding for medical billing.

· Ability to work autonomously, perform primary care Clinician role, adhering to scope of practice, and seeking guidance from Medical Director as appropriate.

Communication skills necessary to interact appropriately with adolescents, parents/guardians, co-workers, school staff, and the public

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $46.46 - $48.46 per hour
