Accounts Receivable Clerk
Job description
SHI currently has an opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk in our Accounting Department. The focus of this job is to manage all of the company's cash and invoicing processes.
The AR Clerk will intereact on a daily basis with immediate teammates, as well as the overall Accounting Department. The AR Clerk will also be required to utilize accounting software programs and other necessary tools, such as Microsoft Excel. Training will be provided.
This position will report to the AR Clerk Manager and is required to report to the SHI Somerset, NJ office location as determined by SHI management.

Include, but are not limited to:
- Reconciling incoming payment and making sure necessary invoices are closed out
- Utilizing all available tools, in order to work in the most efficient manner
- Managing daily invoice printing and posting processes
- Managing Credit Card processes from charging and crediting invoices, to reconciling payments
- Submitting invoices via customer provided websites
- Issuing general ledger entries to transfer funds between divisions or posting to specified accounts
- Working with various departments to resolve any customer payment issues
- May be required to work in different currencies
- High school diploma or Associates degree in related field (i.e. Accounting, Finance, or Business studies)
- Previous Accounting experience a plus
- Excellent time management, organization, and prioritization skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
- Initiative to research and resolve problems

Preferred Skills:
- Microsoft Excel experience a plus
- Office and/or Accounting experience preferred
- The estimated annual pay for this position is $32,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
