Robert Half has a short-term contract / temporary position available for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to become an integral part of a rapidly growing team at a company in the Construction/Contractor industry. Updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, processing checks, processing expense reports, resolving A/P issues, and matching, batching, and coding invoices are just a few of the responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk. If you are a collaborative team member with a positive attitude and effective communication skills, then this role is for you. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the Thornton, Colorado area and will be a short-term contract / temporary position.Your responsibilities
- Complete special projects on an as-needed basis
- Accomplish full-cycle A/P
- Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed
- Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it
- Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling
- Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
- Help with internal and external audits as required
- Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks
- Provide customer service to internal business partners
- Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
- Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
- Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
- Quality experience with Enter Invoices
- Approved Invoices experience preferred
- Proven knowledge of customer invoices
- Well-founded grasp of Invoice
- Code Invoices experience highly desired
- Accounting Entries experience required
- Coding Invoices experience
- Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
- Wide ranging experience with Outstanding Invoices
- Practical knowledge of Invoice Data
- General familiarity with Invoice Approvals
