DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES | About the role

The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for: creating and processing customer and vendor invoices; entering payments; resolving customer and vendor inquiries and payment issues; reviewing and reconciling balance sheet accounts; and working with the Accounting Manager on close and audit processes. In addition, this position will act as a backup to the Accountant.

This role will report to the Accounting Manager.

As the Accounting Specialist, you will be:

• Responsible for for customer invoicing and payment application
• Responsible for vendor/customer credit memo processing
• Responsible for processing, reconciling, entering AP invoices, expenses, including purchase orders , sales tax, andstatements
• Perform reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts
• Support the sales and operation teams with orders/invoice inquires
• Assist with month end close and annual audits
• Backup the Accountant
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE | About you

The ideal Accounting Specialist:

• Strong background in AP, AR and general bookkeeping(2-3 years)
• Experience with NetSuite preferred
• Proficient in MS office suite, especially Excel
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Accurate data entry skills
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
