Title: Accounting Manager

Department: Administration

Reports To: Chief Financial Officer

Position Description:

The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department including monitoring and analyzing data and reporting. Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles. This role reports and works closely with the Chief Financial Officer.

Education, Experience, Required Skills:

· BS degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)

· Minimum of 10 years of experience

· Experience in Manufacturing

· Strong organizational skills

· Strong communication skills

· Strong interpersonal skills

· Cost Analysis experience preferred

· ERP Experience required; EPICOR experience preferred

Authority and Responsibilities:

· Develop and maintain processes with operations management concerning control and safeguarding of inventory and other company assets.

· Coordinate inventory counts

· Assist in the development of the annual budget

· Supervise, manage, and develop accounting staff

· Prepare monthly borrowing base

· Month-end close process, including preparing, review, and post journal entries.

· Maintain and reconcile various schedules such as fixed assets schedules.

· Maintain and reconcile balance sheets and general ledger accounts.

· Prepare monthly financial analysis and reports as requested by the CFO.

· Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.

· Assist with annual audit and tax preparations.

· Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.

· Collections as needed

· Other projects as assigned

Physical Requirements

· Ability to stand, walk or sit appropriately eight (8) hours/day
