Accounting Manager

The Fab School is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager that will be responsible for the accounting operations of the company, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results. This position will also be responsible for supervising the human resource functions of the company as well.

What You Will Be Doing

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, financial reporting and audits.
• Account reconciliation and analysis.
• Coordinate efforts of the annual financial statement audit and manage the financial reporting for regulators and other stakeholders.
• Assist in the compilation of information for the Company’s annual tax returns
• Enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles.
• Manage the company’s human resource function
• Miscellaneous tasks as assigned

• Journal Entries

Requirements

• BS Degree in Accounting
• 5-7 years of progressive experience in accounting, with a minimum of 2 years as a supervisor
• Thorough knowledge of GAAP
• Experience with QuickBooks and other financial programs
• Preferred knowledge of reporting for a higher education institution or vocational school
• Preferred experience with Financial Aid and Student Information Systems but not required
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
