Job description
A manufacturing company in Poca, WV needs an Accounting Manager with a strong background in cost accounting. The Accounting Manager will have an active role in partnering with the Divisional President in management decision-making.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Responsible for all areas of the accounting process (AP, AR, General Ledger. etc.) to ensure the integrity of the division’s accounting records,
- Monitoring and reporting of manufacturing standards, productivity standards, and labor utilization targets,
- Responsible for the accounting and control of the plant's product costs, appropriate distribution of labor costs and analysis of invoices, inventory levels, and materials,
- Calculate and properly apply the Inventory Labor Overhead Capitalization,
- Perform Monthly account reconciliations,
- Financial statement preparation/completion,
- Process Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable items,
- Assist and manage physical inventories.
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting or Finance,
- 5 years of Manufacturing and/or Operations management experience related experience,
- Costing and Analytical skills and Capital Equipment experience,
- Experience with ERP systems (Epicor or SAP),
- Experience dealing with senior level management of customers with ability to relate to all levels of the customer’s organization,
- Excellent Excel skills (Pivot tables, Vlookup, Sumif, Index formulas, and filters and sorts),
- Ability to be an independent producer and to work efficiently.
