Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeping Administrative Assistant to join our team at our Lynnwood office. This position is temporary and part-time, with the initial focus being a 5-year bookkeeping clean-up project. If you excel in this project, there may be opportunities for additional projects in the future, although continued work cannot be guaranteed.
Responsibilities:
- Work on a 5-year bookkeeping clean-up project, converting handwritten journals to Excel format
- Utilize technology tools and manual data entry to ensure accurate and efficient conversion
- Pay strong attention to detail to maintain data integrity throughout the conversion process
- Demonstrate fast typing and 10-key skills to expedite the completion of tasks
- Collaborate with a direct on-site supervisor who will provide guidance and support
- Apply your accounting/bookkeeping expertise to accurately transfer income and expenses from bank statements to profit and loss statements
- Interpret and analyze balance sheets effectively
Requirements:
- Prior experience in the accounting/bookkeeping field is essential
- Strong understanding of how income and expenses are recorded on bank statements and translated into profit and loss statements
- Proficiency in reading and comprehending balance sheets
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Fast typing and 10-key skills to ensure efficient project completion
- Ability to work independently while seeking guidance when needed
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software/tools
- Availability to work at our Lynnwood office, as this is not a remote position
