Objective: We are seeking a part-time Controller to consult with our company, Arrow Renovation. Our ideal candidate will have experience as a CFO or Controller. As a team, we are committed to providing excellent home remodeling services and educating our customers about how we can meet their home improvement needs. We are looking for a highly motivated, positive, and adaptable manager with strong communication skills.

Description: As our Accounting Manager (Controller), you will be responsible for managing all financial and accounting functions, including supervising the monthly closing process, preparing weekly billing for clients, collecting accounts receivable, providing weekly and monthly reports to company principals, creating annual budgets, performing bank reconciliations, handling payroll and tax responsibilities, and preparing annual tax documents for our CPA.

The Part-time Accounting Manager (Controller) at Arrow Renovation is responsible for the following tasks on a daily, weekly, monthly, or annual basis:

Daily tasks:

• Following and developing the accounting calendar
• Making daily deposits
• Entering data and invoices
• Setting up new jobs
• Ensuring insurance compliance
• Managing HR (hiring/firing, health insurance, 401k)

Weekly tasks:

• Reconciling purchase orders
• Reconciling credit card statements
• Managing cash flow and reporting
• Reviewing open purchase orders
• Preparing billing statements and invoicing
• Closing out jobs and completing cap-outs
• Analyzing spreadsheets
• Reporting on payables to vendors, suppliers, and sales reps
• Processing payroll for employees and accounts payable
• Monthly tasks:
• Reconciling bank statements
• Conducting break-even analysis
• Producing financial statements
• Tracking assets over $500

Annual tasks:

• Preparing 1099 forms
• Creating an annual budget
• Ensuring compliance with all laws, rules, and regulations
• Producing accurate and timely financial information

To be considered for the position of Accounting Manager (Controller) at Arrow Renovation, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Pass a background check and drug test
• Understand and adhere to the ethical standards of a CPA
• Be able to handle payroll, including the associated
• Be timely and produce high-quality work
• Be accountable for specific performance objectives
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to articulate recommendations clearly and concisely
• Be able to handle multiple tasks and maintain order
• Have strong GAAP and financial reporting technical skills
• Have a strong work ethic (including the ability to work long hours and some Saturdays)
• Be detail-oriented, organized, and communicative
• Be understanding but also persuasive and decisive when dealing with others in the organization
• Be a responsive team player with the ability to prioritize tasks and goals
• Be able to prioritize and work with multiple employees and management.

Hardware/Software Requirements:

Exceptional computer skills in the operation and functioning of all programs used by the organization:

• Microsoft Office
• Lead Perfection
• QuickBooks

Education Requirements:

• Accounting degree or certification preferred
• 5+ years of Controller level experience required
