About our group:
The Revenue Accounting Team holds key responsibilities for worldwide revenue, warranty, and inventory. We have controls around each of these critical components along with driving financial reporting following Seagate’s business practices and accounting standards.
The Accountant II role is a high visibility position, collaborating with global partners within the Seagate organization to provide valuable information to make critical business decisions. This role is expected to utilize technical accounting expertise to support revenue, warranty and inventory processes, including monthly financial statement close, review of revenue, warranty and inventory transactions for appropriate treatment, annual audit, system implementation, and performance and documentation of the related SOX controls.
About the role - you will:
Review entries to make sure they follow policy and correctly follow GAAP and SOX principals- Participate in monthly and quarterly close activities including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, flux analyses, and related reporting and disclosures.
- Work collaboratively with business stakeholders to drive operational efficiencies and best practices in revenue, warranty and inventory processes.
- Support customer service operations through providing accounting guidance and recommendations.
- Partner with cross-functional business partners to support special projects related to revenue, warranty and inventory initiatives, including system implementation and process improvements.
- Ensure that revenue, warranty and inventory related internal controls are performed and documented appropriately.

Your experience includes:
Progressive financial and accounting experience.- Advanced understanding of US GAAP.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience working with Oracle, SAP S4/HANA, Tableau, and Salesforce.
You might also have:
A CPA.- 2+ years of Big 4 experiences preferred.
- Focus on technology clients.

The estimated base salary range for this position in Colorado: $52,900.00 to $78,600.00. Actual salary range is based on the regional labor market of the role in the geography in which the position is located based on the requirements of the job and your skills. This posted salary range is a good faith and reasonable estimate, and Seagate reserves the right to adjust this range depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
