Summary

Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports and statements by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Analyzes transactions and prepares related journal entries that include appropriate support in a timely and accurate manner.

Responsible for preparing monthly financial statements and participates in fiscal year budgets.

Responsible for presenting financials and productivity reports to managers and providers.

Completes monthly reconciliation balance sheet accounts. Responsible for timely identification and investigation of budget variances and unexpected monthly fluctuations for assigned financial statement areas.

Prepares accurate audit schedules requested by external auditors or other third parties, including year-end financial audits.

Prepares and or assists with the preparation of grant reports, particularly HRSA Section 330 Grant reports (UDS) as well as all other financial grant tracking and draw down.

Assists with the development and monitoring of entity performance metrics.

Performs statistical analyses to determine trends, estimates, and significant changes, and writes narrative reports explaining findings.

Audits contracts, orders, and vouchers, and prepares reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to settlement.

Manages, audits, and directs payment of all business invoices and billing including EFTs and transfers. Responsible to review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.

Responsible for accurate maintenance of assigned sub-ledgers.

Prepares and runs payroll on assigned schedule and distributes all payments.

Responsible to interpret and apply GAAP to all transactions.

Assists with other projects as assigned by the CFO.

Participates in CPI program. Maintains compliance, is knowledgeable, and utilizes the guidelines of all state and federal laws and regulations as they pertain to the position including, but not limited to; Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act (HIPAA), Scope of Practice, Accreditation Standards, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Bureau of Primary Health Care/ Health Resources and Services Administration (BPHC/HRSA), National Committee for Quality Assurance/Patient Centered Medical Home (NCQA-PCMH), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment (CLIA), Joint Commission on Accreditation of healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), and other HRSA related regulatory functions and/or agencies that Family Circle of Care participates in.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University required; Masters in Accounting preferred; 1-2 years accounting or equivalent financial experience preferred.


Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software. Working knowledge of general ledger, payroll and accounts payable software required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Preference for someone with a CGMA, CMA or CPA certification. No Requirements.

This position requires flexibility in schedule and ability to travel. Travel is low to moderate, including required business functions that may be outside the counties Family Circle of Care serves.


Salary and Benefits:
Salary is commensurate with experience. Expected salary is between $60,000 and $80,000. FCC pays 100% of employee health, dental, and vision and 75% of dependent health dental and vision.
