Saint John Neumann Regional Catholic School is looking for a full-time 5th Grade Classroom teacher. Responsibilities:

• Be knowledgeable of and support school’s mission and philosophy.
• Have working knowledge of school policies as they are articulated in the school’s handbooks.
• Demonstrate expertise in area of teaching.
• Serves on SST as appropriate.
• Network with other building personnel.
• Maintain student achievement records.
• Conduct parent conferences as scheduled and/or requested.
• Attends meetings as scheduled.
• Collaborates effectively with administrators, other teachers and parents.
• Maintain classroom in such a way that is conducive to learning.
• Maintain open communication with parents as defined in local handbook.
• Demonstrate care in lesson planning-execution.
• Secure appropriate permission for educational activities.
• Submit all external communications to the administration for approval prior to distribution.
• Make appropriate provisions for substitute teachers when necessary.
• Complete required school forms promptly.
• Represent school in a positive fashion.
• Other duties as assigned by the Principal or his/her designee.

Education, Training and Experience:

• Certification required for secular subjects.
• Prior teaching experience in Catholic School highly desirable.
• Evidence of specific coursework in education.
• Bachelor’s preparation in assigned content area.

Salary:

• As appropriate according to Archdiocesan salary scale.

Working Environment:

• Preference in hiring is given to practicing Catholics in full communion with the teachings of the Catholic Church. All teachers must show respect for the institutions of the Church.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $84,852.00 per year
