Wolfgang Confectioners currently has openings for 3rd shift Production Enrobing Lead at our Loganville Facility.

SUMMARY:

The Lead Technician works under the general direction of the Production Supervisor. He/She will provide support in three primary areas: be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Deacom on their shift, support the training progress of machine operators and be a technical liaison between Maintenance and Operations to ensure we maintain centerlines and utilize standard work instructions to maintain efficient production rates. The Lead Technician will ensure that all Manufacturing Standard Processes and Procedures are being followed to meet Product Specifications. The Lead Technician also ensures that all Workplace Safety and Food Safety and Quality Procedures are being followed.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Deacom Subject Matter Expert.

• Understands the Wolfgang Deacom- Work Instruction Registry and transactions explained in the work instructions.

• Ensures all Deacom production entry is accurate throughout the shift. This includes operator transactions, QA checks, inventory transactions and QA hold/rework corrections.
• Retrains and coaches operators for improvement when errors are made.
• Utilizes knowledge to train new operators, assist current operators and provide details to the Deacom team when troubleshooting assistance is necessary.
• Understand the Deacom processes and how they align with QA and Production standards at Wolfgang.
• Attends training for new processes or process changes and communicates said trainings to their teams/areas. Some training may be off shift.
• Provide feedback and communication to the Deacom team regarding process improvements, troubleshooting and additional trainings needs.
• Be a positive driver for training and process improvements. “Be Wolfgang”

Machine Operator – technical function

• Ensure Operators are following Standard Work Instructions

• Ensure Operators are adhering to proper machine set-up and centerline parameters and documenting discrepancies.

• Partner with Maintenance to address machine performance.

• Offers suggestions to supervisor/management on improving efficiency, safety, and working conditions.

• Provide clear, open and positive communication with Supervisor, other lead people, machine operators, and co-workers.

• Help develop corrective actions for internal non-conformances and customer complaints.

• Engages in Continuous Improvement activities to improve shift performance.

• As needed, works as part of the production rotation, or performs as a floater.

Machine Operator - training support

• Assist with the training of new Machine Operators.

• Provide feedback to the Supervisor and Trainer on progress new Machine Operator is making and areas where additional training is needed.
• Be the primary point of contact for new training documentation, paperwork and/or work instructions on shift.
• Encourage team behavior and technical development

Follow all Wolfgang Food Safety and Quality Policies and Programs.

If we cannot secure Supervisor coverage, the lead person shall have the responsibility for their shifts manufacture of safe and quality food.

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCY:

• Requires a High School Diploma or 2+ years of manufacturing experience

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Experience as a user/super user in an ERP and/or MES environment preferred

• Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking

• Demonstrates “Be Wolfgang” behavior

• Self-Starter and demonstrates a desire to learn

• Strong coaching/teaching skills

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to reach, bend, stoop and lift as needed.

• Must be able to lift and move objects up to 30 pounds with little or no assistance

• Ability to see information in print form and/or electronically.

Shift Schedule:

Sunday - Thursday 11pm - 7am

Pay rate:

$21.00/hr plus $3 shift differential
