Job title: 2D / 3D Programmer – Laser
Position summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to create 2D and/ or 3D drawings that will be developed for the Lasers.
Essential functions and responsibilities:
· Create drawings for new orders; review drawings for repeat orders to ensure that they are accurate and correct.
· Review and analyze work orders, drawings, design data, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, etc.;
· Interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances.
· Nest multiple orders with same material and grade together to eliminate waste and control costs.
· Ensure that materials required for order are in stock; order materials if needed.
· Work with calipers, micrometers, tape measures.
· All other duties as assigned by supervisor.

· Incumbent will work primarily in an office setting and will be required to use a computer with keyboard, telephone or handheld mobile device, and office equipment as needed.
· Individual will occasionally use measuring tools, such as calipers or micrometers.
· Incumbent will sit for extended periods of time, stand up desks are also available.
· This position will need to walk to the shop at least once each day.
· Incumbent will be expected to work on several projects/assignments simultaneously.
Work days and shifts:
This is a full-time or part time position; typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, or 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM.
The shift for this position is flexible, once training is completed, but a 40-hour work week is required.
Occasional overtime is required.
No rotating shifts.
No weekends.
Education/Certification(s)/License(s) required:
High School Diploma
Experience/Other required:
· Basic math/geometry skills.
· Ability to interpret blueprints.
· Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar software experience.
