Job description
Sole Athletic Director or Job Share (Extra Duty Position)
- Coordinate all sports activities for the district.
- Schedule all games
- Coordinate transportation
- Hire and schedule referees
- Monitor games and maintain crowd control
- Regularly communicate with coaches
- Conduct regular coaches’ meetings
- Coordinate purchasing of awards and equipment as necessary
- Intervene with coaches, players, and parents when issues of concern arise
- Distribute and maintain copies of appropriate forms such as insurance forms, parent permission forms and school policy information forms
- Ensure that the district’s Extracurricular Activity policies are followed
- Communicate with the school district and/or building principal to ensure fields, courts, grounds, and equipment are ready for scheduled sporting events and practices
- Maintain ongoing communication with the building principal about the athletic program
- Seek outside funding for athletic program to help offset equipment and transportation costs
- Other duties as assigned by the school principal or designee
- Reports to building principal and Administrator of Human Resources
