Soliant is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 2023-2024 school year in Illinois. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing personalized educational support and instruction to students with special needs. Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, in collaboration with parents, general education teachers, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet the diverse learning styles and abilities of students.
• Deliver specialized instruction in various subjects, such as reading, math, social skills, and life skills.
• Utilize appropriate assessment tools to monitor student progress and make data-driven instructional decisions.
• Provide ongoing support and accommodations to ensure student participation and success in the general education curriculum.
• Collaborate with other teachers, therapists, and support staff to create a cohesive and inclusive learning environment.
• Foster a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere that promotes student engagement, motivation, and independence.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns or questions.
• Attend relevant meetings, workshops, and professional development sessions to stay current with best practices in special education.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Valid Illinois teaching certification in Special Education.
• Previous experience working with students with special needs, preferably in a school setting.
• In-depth knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Ability to develop and implement effective instructional strategies and accommodations.
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with special needs.
