Zurich is currently seeking an experienced NY Workers’ Compensation professional to join our claims team.

****This is either a virtual or hybrid position which will allow balance for working remotely and in the office when needed. This could be a work-from-home role if you live in Albany, Buffalo or Syracuse, or the state of NY. Other office locations: Parsippany, NJ; Philadelphia, PA; or Boston, MA.

At this level, you will manage a workers’ compensation claims caseload that consists primarily of lost time claims of low to moderate exposure and complexity. You will own your assigned claims from end to end, resolving claims according to best practices and within authority limits. As part of Zurich North America’s commitment to service excellence, you will build partnerships with customers and brokers and may be aligned to specific accounts.

Basic Qualifications:

• 
  Bachelor’s Degree and 4 or more years of experience in Claims Handling or Insurance area that includes workers’ compensation claims
  OR
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more years of experience in Claims Handling or Insurance area that includes workers’ compensation claims
  OR
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree with 4 or more years of experience in Claims Handling or Insurance area that includes workers’ compensation claims
  AND
• Must obtain and maintain required adjuster license(s)
• Microsoft Office experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• 
  4 or more years of experience in Workers’ Compensation claims handling including the state(s) of NY
• Analytical skills
• Negotiation skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience collaborating across work groups
• Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
• Juris Doctor (J.D.)

Compensation for roles at Zurich varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. The salary provided is a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled. As required by local law, Zurich provides in good faith a reasonable range of compensation for roles. Compensation may exceed the salary listed based on the evaluation of skillset and experience. The starting hourly salary range for the position is: $62,600.00 - $107,700.00.
