Townsend Building Supply, a leading supplier of lumber and building materials, is seeking experienced construction laborers and window and door installers, to join our growing team of installation professionals. As a member of our installation crew you will assist in the building of fences, decks, and other outdoor living construction projects, as well as install windows and doors. Preference is given to individuals who have experience with window and door installation experience.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:*

• Cut and assemble materials per plans and as bid to the customer
• Perform duties essential to professionally complete each construction project
• Load material for delivery to customers
• Unload material at the job site
• Maintain a neat and orderly job site at all times
• Positive interaction with employees and customers
• Represent Townsend Building Supply in a professional manner at all times
• Being alert at all times
• Follow all safety rules

Working Conditions Include:

• Exposure to various weather conditions including, but not limited to, heat, cold, rain, and wind. Prolonged periods standing and working outside.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old
• Knowledge of carpentry and construction techniques and procedures
• Prior experience in window and door installation
• Ability to take accurate measurements and calculations
• Ability to draw accurate sketches to communicate the specifications for projects
• Ability to operate hand and power tools of all types
• Thorough understanding of the correct and safe operation of all related tools and equipment
• Able to perform manual labor
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Attention to detail
• Ability to effectively follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Dedication to safety
• Must be able to lift 80 pounds regularly and 100 pounds occasionally
• Must be able to walk, stand, bend, and stoop for long periods of time
• Must be able to pass background, MVR, and drug tests
