WERS Social Media Officer (Temp)

The WERS Social Media Officer will train the student Social Media Coordinator to establish best practices and maintain the recent growth in followers of the station's social channels.

Essential Job Duties:
  • Coordinate with the WERS General Manager to supervise the student social media team
  • Coordinate and collaborate with communications across social media, marketing, video, design and the web to conceptualize, produce and distribute high-quality and audience focused content
  • Manage the station's social media calendar
  • Create original and relevant content for all of the WERS social media platforms to engage target audiences and increase brand awareness
  • Track analytic history, and content engagement through the establishment of a monthly social media report

Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree or 3 years of experience in a similar role for a non-profit broadcast organization
  • 3 years of experience using the analytics platforms for Meta/FB, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and Hootsuite
  • Strong oral and written communication skills for creating and presenting monthly reports
  • Familiarity with WERS Programming, WERS.Org Website, and WERS social media channels
  • Experience with WordPress and Beaver Builder
  • Knowledge of GSuite products: Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Google Drive



COMPENSATION

Starting salary for this position is $15.25 hourly.

Grade of Position: T01N

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36.25
