** 1st Shift Position / 5:00am-1:30pm **
Summary: Under Weld Lead or Supervisor instructions, the Welder Prepper preps and grinds steel, aluminum, and Invar 36 materials for welders. Additionally, the Welder Prepper grinds/bevel welds on detail level.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prep plasma, cut material for welding, including grinding and descaling
- Grind weld prep for welders
- Assist welders if and when required
- Maintains work area, tools, and equipment in a neat, clean, and orderly manner
- Segregates and periodically disposes of scrap material into approved collection containers
- Operates a forklift and crane in accordance with safety standards
Requirements:
- Able to understand and follow instructions
- Read/communicate with coworkers and leads
- Oral communication – the individual speaks clearly.
- Quality Control – the individual demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality.
- Experience in the aerospace industry
- Able to read blueprints
- Bilingual: English & Spanish

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour

- Monday to Friday
