ISI is seeking skilled Welder/Fabricators for our Emigsville, PA shop. Mig and stick welding skills are required. Tig is very helpful.

Success Criteria & Measurement

• Performs all work in a timely manner
• Accurately assembles, fabricates, and welds parts from blueprints
• Safely uses all equipment, such as welding guns, tools, overhead cranes, forklifts, etc.
• Works as part of the team helping in other areas as needed, such as Material Handling, Assembly, Paint, etc.
• Works with limited supervision and in a clean and organized manner

Responsibilities

• Analyzes engineering drawings and specifications to plan layouts
• Layout, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications
• Tack weld or weld components and assemblies using electric, gas, arc or other welding techniques and equipment (MIG/ TIG & HELIARCH)
• Determine required equipment and welding method, applying knowledge of metallurgy and welding techniques
• Responsible for inspecting and assessing the quality and strength of welding work
• Responsible for welding various metals: Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Steel, Bronze/Brass, etc.
• Responsible for making sure fabricated parts are correctly marked with location, part # and any other relevant information
• Moves finished materials into appropriate storage areas
• Communicate and coordinate with Shop Administration for the purpose of completing projects/work orders efficiently
• Request equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of required items
• Performs other duties as assigned

Physical Demands

• Must be able to complete the essential functions of this position: stand, walk, climb, crouch, stoop, kneel and bend
• Occasionally exerting up to 60 pounds of force and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Operating tools, performing mechanical or skilled trade tasks
• The position is subject to environmental conditions; protection from weather conditions, but not necessarily from temperature changes.

Qualifications

• High School degree preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience
• Pass a weld/fabrication test
• Must have own tools
• Ability to read and fabricate from blueprints
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Ability to travel a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
