The Inn at Perry Cabin is seeking a passionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated Wedding Sales Manager who has a profound interest in marketing and hospitality, a strong desire to build industry knowledge, and a drive to meet the highest standards in our profession.


The Wedding Sales manager will specialize in selling and coordinating weddings and related events, such as rehearsal dinners, welcome receptions, farewell breakfasts, elopements, proposals, and any other event as assigned by the DOSM. Further responsibilities include ensuring all requirements are met as they relate to guest room accommodations and all ancillary revenues from fleet, spa and golf.


Essential job functions

  • Research the competitive catering environment to define potential sources of wedding business and to determine the strengths and weaknesses of competitors.
  • Managing the wedding marketing channels with the support of the DOSM and Marketing Coordinator.
  • Analyze wedding sales performance and financial results to further refine the hotel’s wedding strategy.
  • Establish/ensure adherence to all department guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain presence and relationships within wedding community and prospect new opportunities with high level planners and vendors.
  • Responsible for all levels of contact with clients from initial inquiries, site visits, contracting, coordinating event details, event execution and post-stay follow-up.
  • Financial responsibility of all revenue collection associated with each event from advance deposits, pre-payments and final billing and reconciliation.
  • Responsible for the creation of Banquet Event Orders and Group Resumes for all weddings and associated events.
  • Communicate to all operating departments any changes, revisions,
  • Participate in the annual review of all banquet menus and collateral.
  • Communicate to all operating departments of any changes, additions, or deletions to events.
  • Greet clients upon their arrival to the hotel and be available to internal and external clients to the conclusion of the event execution.
  • Maintain accuracy of all wedding information to include all handouts, trifolds, PDFs, and online brochures.
  • Responsible for Perry Cabin Wedding Instagram page implementing monthly theme and strategy with Marketing Coordinator.
  • Attend all meetings as appropriate: staff, department, food and beverage, sales, Banquet Event Order, pre-convention, and post-convention.
  • Position requires a flexible schedule to include weekends, nights and holidays.
  • Assist Senior Management with VIP, Owner, Community events and FAMs.
  • Maintain all wedding YOY data and ability to report on top line revenue.
  • Other duties as assigned by DOSM.


Preferred qualifications


Education & Experience

  • Minimum of two (2) years of wedding market experience
  • Previous experience working with wedding planners in an upscale/luxury environment is a plus
  • Experience in Food and Beverage is strongly preferred
  • Highly proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Previous experience in hotel or catering systems such as Delphi FDL, Opera, or similar a plus
  • Previous experience working as a team is strongly preferred
  • College degree preferred, but not required.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in a luxury environment with full proficiency in English.
