Forest Lake Camp is seeking a Waterfront Director to join us for this upcoming summer season. We are a Brother/Sister traditional summer camp in the Adirondack mountains of New York. Our facilities include a 30 acre private lake with a swimming and non-motorized boating area.

Dates: June 12th to August 11th (can be extended into Fall)

Responsibilities include:

• Schedule and manage a team of lifeguards
• Oversee the Forest Lake Camp swimming and boating program
• Ensure the safety of patrons
• Daily maintenance logs and report any maintenance request
• Weekly water testing
• Complete daily Department of Health paperwork
• Conduct in-service training for the Lifeguards
• Maintain an inventory list which will include first aid and waterfront equipment
• Administer first aid/cpr and appropriate water rescues, if needed.

Ideal Candidate Qualification:

• Must be 21+
• Previous experience as a Summer Camp Lifeguard or/and an Aquatics Director
• Valid ARC Waterfront Lifeguard with Adult and Child First Aid/CPR with an AED (can be renewed or gained at camp)
• LGI Certificate (not required)
• WSI (not required)
• Previous managerial experience

Compensation:

• Compensation starts at $4500 for 9 weeks
• Room and board included
• Child Tuition to Summer Camp
